Covid restrictions and industry quidelines have been relaxed or phased out. However we want to assure our guests that at Skell Gardens we continue to employ the same stringent and thorough regime of cleaning for your comfort and the safety of all.

but contact us to discuss your options.
Holiday cottage industry guidelines are every changing. We carry out regular maintenance on the cottage to ensure not only that it remains aesthetically fresh, but complies with regulations for your safety.
Recently we have updated our door locks, upgraded the fittings and materials on the hallway fire escape route and installed upgraded dual system heat and smoke and carbon alarms.

This period cottage benefits from original features, however a new staircase was fitted at the time of renovation, to provide a larger top landing area. We advise guests who struggle with mobility that the staircase remains steep and may not be suitable for everyone.
What are we doing?

We have carried out a risk assessment and upgraded our cleaning procedure which includes an extended checklist for each clean.​​

Hard surfaces in the cottage are cleaned then disinfected using materials that conform to EN14476.

Curtains, blinds & upholstery are sprayed with Dettol (conforms to EN13697).​

We have removed unnecessary ‘high touch’ items – some kitchenware, literature and games as well as substituting throws and cushion covers that can be washed frequently.

You will gain access using a key safe.

If anyone has acute symptoms, has breathing difficulties, their life is at potential risk, or it is impossible to travel safely please
seek medical help immediately and contact us.
If you are unable to leave the cottage at the end of your designated time, then you will be responsible for all ongoing costs until the cottage is vacated. We must be contacted immediately if you feel unwell.
